Have you ever seen a car jump rope ?
Hey you guys have you ever seen a car jump rope ? This video is very funny and we are just glad here at Hyundai Village of Danvers that it was not a new Hyundai. I think a new 2012 Hyundai would bounce higher and bounce more times. If you would like to volunteer your Hyundai to the guys that made this video I'm sure that could let us know which bounces higher.

3 things to do for your car this spring !
Now that the sun is finally shining there is going to be a lot of pollen in the air. It is probably time for a new Pollen Filter. This filter is very important to keep the air in your cabin clean and odor free.
It is probably also time for new windshield wipers. They have gotten a lot of use through the winter and also with all the rain we have been experiencing. Make sure you purchase Hyundai Genuine wipers. They are made specifically for your vehicle and have a wear indicator so you know when it is time to change them.
An oil change is the most important of all. Always make sure that you follow the maintenance schedule for your vehicle. Keeping all those engine parts lubricated will keep your Hyundai running for years. My 2002 Santa Fe has 195,000 miles and I use it daily. We are hoping to break a mileage record with him but that will be hard. A recent customer came in and he had 380,000 miles on his 2007 Tucson.

Beware of the Pot Holes
Surely you have noticed all the potholes in the road lately. Its a wonder with the weather this winter. They are only going to get worse before they get better so its best just avoid them entirely if you can. More damage can be incurred to a vehicle striking a pot hole at higher speeds, including compromised handling of the vehicle. Do not apply brakes when the driving over a pothole. This tilt the vehicle forward and places stress on the front suspension. Potholes cause premature damage to the suspension and steering components. Tires and rims can be damaged as well as the shocks and struts.
Because the steering and suspension are compromised under this duress, potholes are the leading contributor to a vehicle needing an alignment. Also, under or over inflated tires can be more easily damaged than properly inflated tires. Rims can dent or crack from these pothole strikes as well. These strikes can also result in total tire failure or premature tire wear and poor vehicle handling.
If you have any concerns regarding a recent pothole strike make sure you stop by or call Mike or Steve in our Service Department. They can make certain your vehicle is in perfect working condition.

"Ask Les" is on the roof !
Our own Les Hefler aka "Ask Les" was on the roof today trying to remove some of the snow. Everyone here always says "Les is more" and today that was true. Less snow on the roof was more of what the roof needed. You can tell it is him by the hat. He did a great job and we know that the roof is safe with all the snow removed. Les is our Fixed Operations Director and as always does a great job at whatever task is put before him.

Wiper are not shovels
Your windshield wipers are not shovels or push blades.
You should always clean away all snow and ice from your windshield and the cowl before turning on your wipers. If you try to clear even a small amount of snow or ice you are at risk of breaking the wiper transmission and componets. None of the car manufacturers have designed wipers for this purpose. Save yourself this added expense as these repairs are not covered under warranty.
